Safety Guidelines for Home Use

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 

When using electrical furnishing, basic precautions should always be followed. Read all instructions before using your Bryte Balance Mattress. 

DANGER 

To reduce the risk of electric shock, always unplug the Bryte Balance Mattress from the electrical outlet before cleaning. 

WARNING

To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons: 

  1. Unplug the Bryte Balance Mattress from the outlet before putting on or taking off parts. 
  2. Close supervision is necessary when this furnishing is used by, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons. 
  3. Use this furnishing only for its intended use as described in these instructions. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. 
  4. Never operate this furnishing if it has a damaged cord or plug if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the furnishing to a service center for examination and repair. 
  5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. 
  6. Do not use outdoors. 
  7. Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered. 
  8. To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove the plug from the outlet. 
  9. The Bryte Balance is suitable for household use only. It is not available for resale or commercial use. 
  10. The Bryte Balance has a maximum weight limit of 300 pounds per person and is intended to support up to two people. 

WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock - Connect the Bryte Balance Mattress to a properly grounded outlet only. See grounding instructions.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. This Mynd with Bryte Mattress is supplied with either a three-prong or two-prong cord. Please refer to the following guidelines: 
  2. If supplied with Grounded power supply (three prongs on cord connected to wall outlet):

  1. This product is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in sketch A (see Figure 77.1). Make sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product.
  1. If supplied with a double-insulated, cord-connected product (two prongs on cord connected to wall outlet):

  1. SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED PRODUCTS 

In a double-insulated product, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated product, nor is a means for grounding to be added to the product. Servicing a double-insulated product requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and is to be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated product must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated product is marked with the words "DOUBLE INSULATION" or "DOUBLE INSULATED." The symbol (square within a square) Graphic is also able to be marked on the product.

Grounding methods

This product is for use on a circuit having a nominal rating of more than 120 volts and is factory-equipped with a specific electric plug to permit connection to a proper electric circuit. Make sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product. 

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS 

Bed frames with slats are okay if they are a maximum of 4" wide. The minimum gap between slats must be at least equal to the slat width. 

  • What you will need 

At least two people 

120V three-prong wall outlet within 8' (for queen) or 7' (for king/cal king) of either side of your bed 

A bed frame - For requirements, see "Choosing a frame for your Bryte Balance" 

  1. Make sure you have a compatible frame and position for your bed. 

Your bed will need to be positioned near a power supply and away from any heaters.
